as Filipinos, we should realize that everything in this world is insatiable and we need to go back to our simple ways of living in order to preserve our own resources. imperialism has taught us to be selfish just like the unending semi-fuedal abuse of our landlords, the beaurucrat capitalists, and the bourgoise society who make illusions of themselves like europeans or americans of fashion and glamour. what we need is to be a family who use its power to protect everyone, specially the poor.

As filipinos, we never need nor wanted to conquer other nations for our sake and make them slaves. before the spanish came, we had a very simple lifestyle and we are civilized by our moral ways of living. we have our datus and baranggays that make a social system. we could have been productive in our own. for us, richness does not mean extravagant lifestyle, fancy cars and precious diamonds. we only aimed for simple lifestyle and sharing. and that’s the meaning of being rich to us.

It should be noted that no one really triumphed in this war. up until now, our country is still suffering the impact of imperialism. the filipinos are abused by spain, japan and america because of pride and power, and they will never be contented. up until now, we are criticized not knowing how most of us are controlled in the resources we worked for. up until now, we are paying the unending debt interests which actually came from the war activities of these imperialists.
